Business context before software
For 17 years I worked inside physical businesses — in industrial economics and corporate finance, planning and production reporting, e-commerce integrations, and software delivery. I learned the spreadsheets, reconciliations, handoffs, and reports that quietly consume a team’s time before I started building systems to replace them.
My path ran through industrial economics in precious-metal refining and metallurgy, and years of planning and reporting in the oil and gas industry as a Chief Specialist. I automated SAP and Excel workflows long before I wrote production web code. That operating context is still the foundation of my work: understand how decisions and money move through a business, then remove the manual steps that slow them down.
From operations to reliable systems
I later moved into software delivery and operational automation. Today I build systems and workflows that take repetitive data entry, reconciliation, and operations work off people’s plates while keeping business data and human review in control.
